Company History - Our founder Bruce Carter, created the moving labor and moving help industry in 1992. Bruce joined the United States Marine Corps at the age of Seventeen in 1978 - Doc. 1, 2, and returned home to Allentown Pennsylvania in 1982, where he was hired onto the Allentown Fire Department - Doc. 3. 1991, Bruce, relocated to Jacksonville Florida and by 1992, created Rent-A-Crew Moving Labor Services, the first moving labor company located in the United States. The niche service was designed to provided moving help for people needing professional movers as labor only services. 1993, the name changed to Helping Hands Professional Moving Labor - Doc 4, 5, 6, 7. 1995, the company added Extra Help Moving Labor Services Of America and opened an office in Columbia South Carolina. 1998, Ponte Vedra Beach Florida office opened. 2000, Charlotte North Carolina office opened. 2001, Durham North Carolina office opened (Research Triangle Park) - Doc. 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13. During this duration, many copycat services have spawned, and in 2003, Moving Labor Professionals was added. 2006, Moving Labor Professionals was added, which is now being “Branded”.
